16 Napa AutoCare repair facilities raised $12,675 to reach their goal of feeding over 17,000 through
the Hope Center in Macomb. This was accomplished by the Autocare shops and NAPA Auto parts
matching donations from their customers tripling each donation.
We are so proud of our customer’s, Napa Auto Parts and Nina’s Money Pac for their participation
in our goal to raise enough money to feed over 17k people. Its amazing what can be accomplished
when we partner with each-other to do God’s work.
Some of the people that made donations were previous recipients of the generosity of the Hope
Center. We had one person walk in our shop, give $5 and tell us he wanted to give what he could
because the Hope Center fed him during his time of alcohol recovery. We had another young girl
come in with $31.24 from selling bracelets she had made so she could raise money to give to the
Hope Center. When she saw the ad in Nina’s Money Pac that said we would triple donations, she
decided to bring the donations into one of our AutoCare facilities. She asked if we would really do
that and was very happy when we turned her $31.24 into $93.72! Her mother then also donated $50
(which turned into a $150 for the Hope Center) because she was so proud of her daughters efforts!
Nina’s Money Pac ran the Ad for this fundraiser for us for free which generated a lot of donations to
the shops. Some of the Autocare Centers also posted on their facebook pages which also created
many donations. There are many more stories like this that just proves God is at work in this local
community. The Hope Center has enabled people that want to make a large impact to do so through
their resources. The Hope Center in Macomb is a faith-based, not-for-profit [501(c)3] community
development organization that distributes an average of 120,000 lbs of food per month. Hope Center
also provides the means for individuals and families to access county and other non-profit community
service agencies right within Hope Center to meet their needs..
